Always wonder where KenJen, Gigi, Cara, and Karly get their model off duty looks? Well, I can tell you one thing -- they're designer and the jeans they wear to the super market are probably 1/3 of your rent! But no worries have no fear one day we will all be wearing $1000 jeans to the grocery store!
I like to think that my style is a hodgepodge of "model off duty" effortlessness, posh/chic-ness, and bohemian rhapsody but for this look there really is no need to break the bank. Don't get me wrong I love my brand names and my designer items but to look cute not everything you wear has to be designer. In this look I have one or two designer items that I didn't mind spending the money on because I knew they would make staples in my wardrobe.
The Deets:
Tee Shirt- Forever 21 -- come on folks no need to spend over $20 on a tee shirt, I got this one from Forever 21 and it does the trick
Jeans- H&M- they look super expensive but I promise they aren't, I maybe spent $40 on them
Shoes- Need Supply - This is a great shoe and for $85 they are worth the money, plus any good shoe under $100 is a steal in my book
Handbag- Rebecca Minkoff-- picked this bag up from Nordstrom, a little on the pricey side --this one I believe is in the $300-$400 range, but the great thing about this bag is that it looks just like a Balenciaga bag which normally goes for upwards of $1500
Sunglasses- Dior -- okay here's the splurge item- these babies were a little over $500 but if you're a sucker for some stylish sunnies that you know you will wear forever than hey what the hell!
The moral to the story is you shouldn't feel pressure to break the bank to pull of a celebrity inspired look - most times if you take a look into your closet you'll see that you already have some pieces that resemble the more expensive items that your fave celebs are wearing!
